Frank Savino on training children:

I have been training children as young as 7 years old for many years. All the myths of stunting growth have been driving me a bit crazy! Please do your due diligence and research the importance of training young people.

Here are my five reasons for training young children:

1) Building core strength and connective tissue strength is vital for a healthy muscular development as they grow.

2)

Builds self esteem and physical confidence.

3)

Assists in building speed and coordination.

4)

Assists in preventing injuries that occur on the playing field or climbing monkey bars in the school yard.

5)

Creates a healthy body image as well as maintains focus for other endeavors children are involved in (i.e. school work, playing an instrument etc.)

We do not perform high impact exercises (i.e. heavy squatting or lifting of any type). We do however, if our young clients are athletic enough, utilize barbell and machine exercises. Please view the pictures and videos of our young people training.

All of my clients are very important to me, especially these children. I am proud to provide a safe and fun environment for young children so they can enjoy and learn proper principles of strength training.
